WTF PODCAST
October 24, 2012 7:55 PM
If you've ever been curious about Todd's background and introduction to the music industry, you'll find no better resource than his recent appearance on the WTF with Marc Maron Podcast (Episode 309). Recorded back in the spring, it was just recently made available through the WTF Podcast and is well worth your time! If you're a Ween fan, the 90+ minutes of the podcast are split between Todd and Aaron Freeman.
CAUGHT UP (FOR NOW)
October 14, 2012 2:00 PM
As far as I've found on etree, I'm caught up with fan recordings made available over the past several months. If you know of others (or if you've recorded others) that I'm not aware of and are not included here on 18M, please drop me a line. Hoping to get to the official recordings from Chicago sometime in the next few days. With the revival of this site in full swing, I'm sure there are still some typos and minor issues that you'll find in some areas. If you do come across any of these, please let me know. I won't be offended -- in fact, I'd be grateful. Thanks, folks.
UPDATE: Looks like I've got a few more to catch up on -- just checked Dime for the first time in a while.
LOTS OF NEW OLD DATES ADDED
October 7, 2012 5:52 PM
I'm not sure why it never occurred to me before to check out the Way Back Machine found on Archive.org to pinpoint some tour dates from before I started keeping tabs on this stuff. EighteenMinutes.com began back in early 2005 (or so). Everything prior to then was compiled based on information provided to me by other fans. Using the Way Back Machine, a person can take a look at sites as they appeared at various "check points" in their history. By using this tool, I've nailed down a lot of dates previously unlisted here on the Archive. Some of the highlights include a stretch of dates in November of 1998 opening for Robert Earl Keen as well as some dates in July of that same year opening for Widespread Panic. I may have to spend a little more time in the Way Back Machine!
THE 18MINUTES REVIVAL
September 28, 2012 1:40 PM
Over the past several months (years?), it's been slow going around EighteenMinutes.com. As I was sifting through the site a few months ago, I noticed many issues -- inaccuracies, typos, clutter, etc. I realized that I'd let the site get away from me and an overhaul was long past due. The work to be done here is far from complete, but I hope you'll find this new set-up a little cleaner and easier to use. Look for continued updates and many additions to come as I work to get EighteenMinutes.com back on track!
