SCREENSHOTS

Night two of the What the Folk Festival. Todd played solo through Tension. Todd plays a few very rare performances including East Nashville Skyline, Elmo and Henry, and an acoustic version of Nervous Wreck. This set includes a pretty long story about D.B. Cooper. Jeff Austin joined in on mandolin during Ballad of the Devil's Backbone Tavern. Tommy Womack joins in on guitar during Play a Train Song. Adrienne Young and Peter Cooper on vocals for Don't It Make You Wanna Dance. Tuning before This Land is Our Land referred to as a Grateful Dead song (tune in). Also, a slower version of Nashville make the lyrics a little easier to catch.

On Tension:

  • "It's bigger than Sum 41. And Reuben and the Jets."
  • "People are pretty into drugs. I'm pretty sure that a lot of you are high on them right now."
  • "Catholic priests. That's what scares people these days. I have a headache. People also hate weapons of mass destruction...and/or a lack there of them."

On Ballad of the Kingsmen:

  • "He gets a lot of chicks now."

On Conservative Christian...:

  • "Tree huggin', peace lovin', pro-choicin', gay weddin', Leftover Salmon diggin' hippies like me."
  • "Tree huggin', peace lovin', pot smokin', porn watchin', Yonder Mountain String Band diggin' hippies like me."
